If a photovoltaic power plant is the engine of industrial energy independence, battery storage is its transmission. By 2026, BESS will already be a standard component of major energy projects—and even mandatory under some European programs.
BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) is an industrial battery system that stores energy and releases it when it is most valuable. For businesses, this means three specific benefits: peak shaving, storing excess solar energy for evening shifts, and backup power for critical processes.
Batteries pay for themselves the fastest in locations with solar power plants that generate surplus energy, experience sharp spikes in demand, or face costly production outages. Under current European schemes—including RENEWFM 2026 for ground-mounted plants—battery storage is not merely desirable, but a program requirement.
A telling example: A company with a 400 kWp power plant operating on an evening shift uses 15–25% more of its own generation with a BESS—energy that would otherwise be sold cheaply on the grid and bought back at a high price after sunset.
The standard for industrial systems is LFP (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry—safer, with a cycle life of over 6,000 cycles, and stable under heavy use. We work with industrial-grade equipment—from manufacturers such as Narada, BYD, and Studer for high-capacity configurations—with BMS systems monitored in real time via 24/7 monitoring.
The correct size of the BESS is calculated based on the facility’s load profile—it is not selected from a catalog. The engineering analysis takes into account 15-minute peaks, the tariff structure, and the solar profile to determine the capacity (kWh) and power (kW) that actually pay off.
